She's awake

One of the healers has just come out and informed me that Barriss is awake. Thank the force!

Even though it's after visiting hours, they are letting me go in to see her for a few minutes. I must stay strong for Barriss's sake!

I nodded my head and the healer lead me through a door into recovery room. The healer lead me to the bed that was closest to the windows and before he pull the privacy curtain back. The healer reminded me "Master Luminara, you can visit but just for a few minutes. Barriss really should be resting."

"Thank you." I quitely said and got my first look at Barriss laying on recovery bed. Her eyes slightly opened and she smiled at me before she closed her eyes again.

I walked up to the bed and behind me I could hear the curtain being pulled close to give us privacy while I visited with Barriss.

"Oh, Barriss!" I lightly said and I gently took her left hand a gave it a squeeze.

I must have been standing there for a few hours because a different healer looked in on us and said "Master Luminara, you shouldn't be in here now. Come lets get you back to the waiting room or better yet why don't you go to your room and try to rest for a while."

I gently squeezed Barriss hand before letting go of her hand. "Master, don't go!" Barrriss barely said over a whisper.

"Barriss I'm stay here, but only for a little while longer." I gently said as a smile appeared on Barriss's face.

The healer looked shocked and stunned as she backed away from us and went out of the ward with a puzzled look on her face.

I stayed with Barriss for another half hour before exhaustion and sleep were the only two things that mattered to me.

I left the healing ward and on my way out I stopped one of the healers and said "I'll be in my room, in case anyone needs to find me." The healer just nodded and watch as I left the waiting room.
